Everyday maintenance Electric Two

Taking care of your bike every day ensures a smooth ride, safe travels, and a long bike lifespan.

Always check your bike before riding, and have it periodically serviced. If you’re unsure whether your Electric Two is in perfect condition, don’t ride it and book an appointment with your nearest retail partner.

If you use your Electric Two frequently, it’s important to have all essential components checked regularly. Parts may fail if used beyond their lifespan or recommended period, which can lead to falls and serious injuries.

Damaged components
If you notice any damage to the electrical system or exposed live components, remove the battery immediately. For questions or concerns, contact your nearest retail partner — handling electrical components without expertise can be dangerous.

Loose components
Make sure all parts are secure. Tighten bolts if needed, especially the seat post, front, and rear wheel bolts.

Hydraulic brakes
There should be at least 1 cm between the brake lever and handlebar when pressed. If not, the brakes need bleeding. You can do this yourself or get help from a local service partner.

Squeaking brakes? The pads may need replacing or the disc needs cleaning. Do it yourself or ask your local service partner.

Battery
Use only the original charger supplied with your bike. Incorrect chargers can pose fire or explosion risks. Plug in the charger first, then connect to the power socket.

In cold weather, battery range may be lower than usual — this is normal and doesn’t affect lifespan. Warm up the battery before charging if very cold.

Lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect. Recharge anytime, even after short rides. Charge between 0°C and 45°C (ideally ~20°C), allowing the battery to reach this temperature first.

Check the manual for full battery and charging instructions.

Cleaning
Keep all electrical components clean. Wipe gently with a damp soft cloth. Do not immerse components in water or use a jet/steam cleaner.

Tyres
Correct ttre pressure reduces friction and extends battery range, keep it between 3 and 4 bar.

Tyre wobble indicates the inner tube may be misplaced. Deflate and adjust, or have your local bike shop assist.

Firmware
We recommend downloading the Veloretti App to update your Electric Two with the latest firmware.

Periodical maintenance Electric Two

Taking care of your Electric Two ensures smooth rides, safe journeys, and a long lifespan for your bike. Your bike has mechanical, electrical, and software components, so regular checks are essential.

Always inspect your bike before riding and schedule periodic maintenance. If you’re unsure whether your Electric Two is in perfect condition, don’t ride it. Book an appointment with your nearest retail partner.

Frequent use means essential components should be checked more often. Parts may fail if used beyond their lifespan, which could lead to falls or injuries.

Periodical maintenance
With heavy use, check your bike more regularly, including the frame and fork for signs of wear or damage.

Service check
We recommend having your bike checked after the first 500 km, then every 1000 km, or at least once a year if you ride less. Visit your nearest retail partner for service checks.

Lubrication
Your bike comes lubricated from the factory. Over time, some moving parts need relubrication, such as hubs, pedals, and headset. Use specialized bike grease, not solvent-based products like WD-40.

Hydraulic disc brakes
Check brakes and brake pressure every 1000 km or at least once or twice a year. There should be at least 1 cm space between the brake lever and handlebar when pressed. If not, bleed the brakes yourself or ask your service partner.

Squeaking brakes? Pads may need replacing or the disc cleaning. Do it yourself or get help from your service partner.

Saddle
Check the seatpost bolt monthly to ensure the saddle hasn’t shifted.

Battery
If storing your bike for a long period, charge the battery every three months to keep it active and maintain capacity. Check the manual for full battery and charging instructions.

Enviolo
Calibrate your Enviolo after every firmware update, after rear wheel maintenance, and once or twice a year using the Veloretti App.

Tires
Replace tires when the tread is gone or the rubber shows cracks. Replace the inner tube with the tire, as they have the same lifespan.

Rims
Check for loose or missing spokes. Improper tension can cause wobble or rim damage.

Gates carbon belt drive
Keep the belt clean with water only. Check tension by moving it 0.5 cm up and down with your fingers. Inspect for visible damage. Never lubricate with oil.

Loose components
Ensure no parts are loose. Tighten bolts as needed, especially the seatpost, front, and rear wheel bolts.

Damaged components
Check electrical components for damage or exposed live parts. If found, remove the battery immediately and contact Customer Care. Handling electrical components without expertise can be dangerous.

Firmware update check
