Maintenance Electric One
Everyday maintenance for your Electric One

Taking care of your Electric One helps keep every ride smooth, safe, and enjoyable while extending the life of your bike.

Check your bike before each ride, and schedule regular maintenance with a nearby Retail Partner. If you’re unsure your Electric One is in perfect condition, do not ride it.

Frequent use
If you use your Electric One often, it’s important to have key components inspected regularly. Parts can wear out, and using them beyond their lifespan may lead to malfunctions or accidents.

Damaged components
If you notice any damage to the electrical system, remove the battery immediately. Exposed live components are dangerous. For any questions or concerns, book an appointment with your nearest Retail Partner. Handling electrical issues without expertise can lead to serious accidents.

Loose components
Check that bolts and other parts are secure, especially on the seat post and front and rear wheels. Tighten as needed.

Hydraulic brakes
Your brake lever should leave at least 1 cm of space from the handlebar when pressed. If not, the brakes need bleeding—either do it yourself or ask your local bike shop. Use normal mineral brake oil when topping up.

If your brakes squeak, the pads may need replacement or the disc may need cleaning. You can do this yourself or get help from a service partner.

Battery
Only use the original charger supplied with your Electric One to avoid risk of fire or damage. Plug the charger in first, then connect it to the power socket.

Cold weather may reduce battery range; this is normal and won’t harm the battery. Let the battery warm to room temperature before charging if it’s very cold.

Lithium-ion batteries don’t have a memory effect—you can charge at any time, even after short trips. Charge between 0°C and 45°C (ideally around 20°C) and allow the battery to reach this temperature first.

Check the manual for complete information on charging and battery care.

Cleaning
Keep all electrical components clean. Wipe gently with a damp, soft cloth. Do not immerse in water or use high-pressure or steam cleaning.

Tires
Correct tire pressure improves battery range. Maintain between 3 and 4 bar.

A wobbling tire may indicate the inner tube is misaligned, which can cause flats. Deflate and reposition the tube yourself or with your bike shop.

Firmware
Download the Veloretti App when available to keep your Electric One updated with the latest firmware.

Taking care of your Electric One

Just like any other device or vehicle, your Electric One needs regular maintenance to ensure smooth rides, safe journeys, and a long-lasting bike. Your bike combines mechanical, electrical, and software components, so keeping an eye on all of them is important.

Always check your bike before riding and schedule regular maintenance. If you’re unsure whether your Electric One is in perfect condition, do not ride and make an appointment with a nearby Retail Partner.

Frequent use & periodic maintenance
If you ride often, it’s vital to inspect essential components more frequently. Overused parts can suddenly malfunction, which may lead to falls or injuries. Check your frame and fork for signs of wear or damage regularly.

Service checks
Like any bike, your Electric One benefits from professional service. We recommend a service check after your first 500 km, and then every 1000 km or at least once a year if you don’t reach 1000 km. Visit your nearest Retail Partner for service.

Lubrication
Your bike is lubricated at the factory, but moving parts need occasional relubrication. Check hubs, pedals, and headset periodically. Use specialized bike lubrication (like ball bearing grease), not solvent-based oils like WD-40.

Hydraulic disc brakes
Inspect your disc brakes and brake pressure every 1000 km or at least once or twice a year.

Braking power
There should be at least 1 cm between the brake lever and handlebar when pressed. If not, the brakes need bleeding—either do it yourself or visit a service partner. Use normal mineral brake oil to top up.

If your brakes squeak, the pads may need replacement or the disc cleaning. Do it yourself or get help from a service partner.

Saddle
Check the seatpost bolt monthly to ensure the saddle hasn’t shifted or moved.

Battery
If storing your bike for a long time, charge the battery every three months to keep it active and maintain capacity. Consult the manual for full battery care instructions.

Enviolo®
Calibrate your Enviolo® after every firmware update, rear wheel repair/maintenance, or once or twice a year through the Veloretti App.

Tires
Replace tires when the tread is worn or the rubber cracks. Always replace the inner tube along with the tire.

Rims
Check for loose or missing spokes. Incorrect tension can cause wobbles or rim cracks.

Gates® carbon belt drive
Keep the belt clean with water. Check tension by moving the belt about 0.5 cm up and down with your fingers. Inspect for visible damage.

Loose & damaged components
Ensure all parts are secure, especially seatpost, front and rear wheel bolts. Inspect electrical components for damage or exposed live parts. If damage is found, remove the battery immediately and contact Customer Care. Handling electrical issues without expertise can cause accidents.
