Daily maintenance Electrics

Just like any other device and vehicle, your bike needs maintenance. Proper care of your electric bike ensures a smooth riding experience, safe rides, and a long lifespan.

Your Electric Two has mechanical, electrical and software components.

Always check your bike before getting on and have it serviced regularly . Don't use it if you're not sure your Electric is in perfect condition. If in doubt, contact Customer Care.

If you use your electric bike frequently, it's vital to have all essential parts checked regularly. A part can suddenly fail if you use it beyond its lifespan or recommended usage period. This can lead to falls and serious injuries.

Damaged parts

Remove the battery immediately if you notice any damage to the electrical system. Check your electrical components for damage and any exposed live electrical parts. If so, remove the battery immediately. If you have any questions or problems, contact Customer Care. Lack of expertise can lead to serious accidents.

Loose parts

Make sure there are no loose parts on your bike. Tighten bolts to specification if noticeable. Pay extra attention to the seatpost, front, and rear wheel bolts, tightening them to specification.

Hydraulic brakes

Braking force. There should be at least 1 cm of clearance between the brake lever and the handlebars when you squeeze them. Not there? Then the brakes need to be bled. Do it yourself or consult a professional bike mechanic. You can use regular mineral brake fluid if you need to top up the brake fluid.

Squeaking brake noise? Your brake pads might need replacing or the brake rotor might need cleaning. Do it yourself, or ask your local bike shop for help.

Battery

Use only the original battery charger that came with your device, as there is a risk of fire or explosion if the wrong charger is used. Connect the charger first, then plug it into the wall socket.

Cold weather. Battery range may be lower than average in cold weather. This is normal and will not affect your battery life. If the battery is very cold, make sure to warm it up before charging.

Lithium-ion batteries don't suffer from memory effect. You can charge your battery at any time, even after short rides. Charge the battery at temperatures between 0°C and 45°C (ideally at room temperature, around 20°C). Give your battery enough time to reach this temperature before charging.

Please consult our manual for all information about charging and batteries before using the bike.

Cleaning

Keep all components of the electrical system clean. Clean them gently with a damp, soft cloth. Do not immerse the components in water or clean them with a water or steam jet.

Tyres

Tyre pressure. Correct tyre pressure increases the battery's range by reducing friction. The correct tyre pressure is between 3 and 4 bar.

Wiggle in the tyre. A wiggle in the tire indicates that the inner tube is not properly seated. This can result in a flat. Deflate the tyre and adjust the inner tube. Do it yourself or ask your local bike shop for help.

Firmware

We recommend downloading the Veloretti app when it's available. This way, you can update your Electric with the latest firmware.
