With the introduction of the Electric Two series, Veloretti sets a new standard for urban mobility. The heart of these award-winning e-bikes? A powerful mid-motor that seamlessly combines technology and design for a natural riding experience.
While traditional e-bikes often utilise front or rear-hub motors, Veloretti resolutely chooses mid-motor technology. This is not merely an aesthetic choice, but a fundamental upgrade in riding comfort, safety, and performance.
The Bafang mid-motor (delivering 65Nm to 70Nm of torque) is connected directly to the pedals. This offers three crucial advantages for the modern city cyclist:
- Natural Assistance: Instead of simply measuring speed, the motor responds to the pressure applied by the rider through a torque sensor. This results in smooth acceleration without the infamous 'push' in the back associated with hub motors.
- Optimal Balance: By positioning the motor centrally, the centre of gravity is low and stable. This ensures superior handling and manoeuvrability, which is essential when navigating busy city traffic.
- Maximum Efficiency: Combined with the Enviolo AutomatiQ stepless shifting and the Gates Carbon Belt Drive, the motor always operates at the optimal RPM. This preserves battery life and extends the range up to 120 km.
The integration of this powerful technology into the minimalistic frames of the Ivy and Ace Two has not gone unnoticed. The design was honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, with the jury praising the balance between "high-end functionality and a refined aesthetic."
